Data Security Policies
Your data belongs to you
Your data is your property. Connecting your brokerage account allows Trade It to view your name, email, account balances, and holdings, and to send buy and sell orders on your behalf. We never sell or share your data with third parties.
Data is secured at rest and in transit
All data is encrypted using bank-level security protocols both when stored and when transmitted. We never store usernames or passwords; only revocable access tokens.
Access is limited and revocable
Trade It connects to your brokerage accounts using secure, industry-standard methods. Whenever possible, we use OAuth, the same system banks and financial platforms rely on. For brokerages that don't yet support OAuth, connections are made through API keys or by securely exchanging your credentials for an access token. In all cases, you can revoke access directly from your brokerage at any time. Importantly, our access is strictly limited: Trade It cannot withdraw, transfer, or take custody of your money or assets. We can only place trades on your behalf.
